haha Rhonda, your bunnies could give remodeling lessons too! My Andy is the ONLY
bunny I know witht the distinction of having chewed through the bunny proofing plastic
tube that encases the wires! And my Fiver's specialty was devouring rare manuscripts
(and new ones too...she ate her way through Webster's Unabridged dictionary, which was
no mean feat!) But we should be giving ENCOURAGEMENT to Laura, not scaring her off,
LOL!

Welcome to PetBunny! Laura.... welcome to the wonderful world of Bunnies!!!
My Clem chewed wires for a long time... he got the caller id box, the phone,
stereo speakers, etc.... we finally got all of them out of his reach. (I
think!) Val and Clem both have done some very interesting art work on my
dining room table and chairs. Oh well.... it's just a table with chairs...
it can be replaced. : ) We also have a few holes in the carpet in the
dining room. Everybun has survived.... both will be 3 years old in January
and seem to have mellowed out quite a bit. They mostly just hang out and
snooze like a couple of old men.

Suggestions for toys include: cardboard boxes with hay or a phone book in,
shredded papers also work nice for this, they have plastic baby keys,
plastic links to toss around, cat balls with bells in them, wood blocks to
chew on, untreated wicker baskets, unpeeled willow baskets, grass mats,
etc.... offer several choices of things to play with and see what the bun
prefers.

Subject: Help with my DESTRUCTO-BUNS!

Hi everyone,

I am fairly new to this list, and have adopted an adorable white lop named
Pippin. He is very sweet and funny, but recently has been destroying alot
of stuff (i.e. phone cord, pants, alarm clock, carpet, etc.). I know this
is common bunny behavior, and have read that if you give the bunny toys to
chew on, they are less likely to destroy stuff. The only problem is, we
have given him toys but he doesn't like them, seems all I can find are toys
to big for his littlew mouth. Can anyone suggest some toys or other ways of
helping him stay busy?

Thanks,
Laura
