Brava has plastic domes using sustained tension to
stimulate tissue to multiply, a microcontroller which
powers the suction and a sports bra.

Women have to wear the device for at least 10 hours a
day, usually overnight, for a 10-week period to see
any change.

Inventor Dr Roger Khouri, a plastic and reconstructive
surgeon from America, says women who follow the
instructions will see a permanent increase in breast
tissue of around 100cc or one cup size.

The idea is based on the same principle that causes
growth during childhood as the skeleton pulls on
surrounding tissue and is used during breast
reconstruction after mastectomy.

Dr Khouri said: "The device is the first that enables
women to enlarge their own breasts without drugs or
surgery."

The Brava system, expected to cost just under 2000,
is initially available in the UK through the Harley
Medical Group in London. More information can be found
