It seems a bit harsh for hosters to delete after 35 days, but I guess 35 days silence is not healthy for a group that meets monthly. This would seem to support what the Liftoff Guide of the e-democracy.org project says: web forums need email interfaces if you want them to survive.
I'd like to create a forum that integrates with the mailing lists. Anyone else up for this? If it works, we could offer it to *.lug.org.uk - or maybe we should just use gmane.org instead? For the next meeting, I'm quite happy to help with ftp (really should use sftp, you know), apache VirtualHost and mod_vhost_alias, or version control (yeehaw). Is there a whiteboard? Hope that helps, -- MJR/slef http://mjr.towers.org.uk/email.html _______________________________________________ Peterboro mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/peterboro
