Help me get a decent router back up, I had been using IPCop happily for about 18 months, until we had a power outage. After the outage IPCop wouln't connect to the net - I was using a Conexant PCI ADSL modem. I've got a SpeedTouch USB modem somewhere, but at the time I couldn't find it. So I pressed my Netgear Router in to use, but I hate using it as my modem/router and would love to get IPCop back and running.
I found my SpeedTouch modem, so I rebuilt my IPCop machine, and connected the USB modem, uploaded the firmware, and tried to connect - nothing :( I've enabled connection debugging, but I can't see anything as to why it can't connect. The Netgear connects without a pause. My ISP is Demon and I've had no issues before, anyone got an idea on how to resolve the issue? I would also be keen to know how/what people use to connect to the interweb, especially if you host anything at home.
