Here is the official response.
Not idea, but honest and within the normal parameters of reality
constraints. Roll on FOSS uptake! meh.

Hi Matthew,
We are aware of the accessibility issues with the site and are planning
to implement improvements as soon as possible. Whilst I fully appreciate
it's not ideal, in the mean time, we are more than happy to assist
suppliers with completing details where needed.
The ICT Hub Directory is based on Techfinder, a joint project with
partners in the US hence the references to California state law, English
or International law *as appropriate* in the terms of use.
As far as possible we want to ensure that suppliers are offering
services appropriate to the voluntary / community sector. As such we
expect suppliers in the directory to have a track record in the sector
(hence the requirement for referees from the sector). This can be
achieved through either paid for or pro bono work.
Suppliers can complete and submit their application including referees
which are followed up before the listing is *published* to the
directory.
Hope this answers these queries.
Best wishes.

this is likely to be subject of debate over the next few hours as the
LUGS read their mail.
A fast response will show that we are on the case and mean that Mark and
myself dont look like fools for recommending folk use the directory

Hi Guys,
I've received the following regarding the suppliers directory, and
wondered if you wouldn't mind answering (or referring) the queries
around accessibility and the San Fran courts.
Thanks
Mark

You can find the directory here... http://directory.icthub.org.uk/
The directory does not follow the Web Content Accessibility
Guidelines
http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG/ so it's difficult to register. Are there
any plans to make it accessible for all?
Also, apparently users must agree to use courts in San Francisco if
there's any dispute. That's a bit offensive to SMEs. Please can it
be changed to use English courts?
Finally, I guess I'll need to wait for my VCS referees to consent
before I can register, which may take a while. How are suppliers new
to VCS going to get listed? Seems like a barrier to entry.
I await your replies with interest.
