Mark - I was not aware that Feisty Fawn was available yet!! Can I
update my version yet?
It's there as a beta; I'm not sure how trustworthy the upgrade would be
(the fresh install works fine). I'll try and remember to bring a disk in.
Apparently Linspire's Click 'n' Run (CNR) comes to Ubuntu 7.04; I've not
actually seen it there yet (maybe I need to apt-get it). I've also
settled into Gnome quite well (I usually go for KDE), although I've
added quite a few KDE apps (k3b & ktorrent being the main ones).
I would welcome the chance to try to install Beryl
I do like it, I'm embarrassed to say. If Windows did the exact same
thing I think I'd hate it (gimmick, wastes resources, style over
substance, etc) but I guess I'm biased. To be fair I have turned a lot
of stuff off, but wobbly windows and the cube are addictive because they
just feel natural.
(In any case, MS Windows has been wobbly for years!)
