The reason I'd be interested in doing this is that as most of you guys know, we do sell PCs and stuff like it but I'd like to specifically sell some Linux boxes and to do that I'm likely to need some help from people on this list helping to resolve any installation problems that crop up; I don't have Dell's resources to test hardware/software combinations and provide decent support (not suggesting that Dell actually provide decent support, but I'm not selling something I can't support). It is likely that Efficient PC could (at this point anyway) provide better support than I could, and that would have to change before I tried to sell this properly. Well, if you are after beta testers for Feisty I am up for that, got my box running over the weekend, not sure how much knowledge you'd actually need to help out, but I'm game anyway, it will help me learn. Also why not market the support side of things by introducing all new customers who buy a machine powered by Linux, to the PLUG? I mean, I know trading standards would have fits if you said this but it is *sort of* a 24/7 free email tech support offering.....most importantly with each new machine sold we'd have one more potential new member to the LUG. Crazy I know but worth considering, it would take the pressure off you support wise and give the LUG more members. The only thing you'd have to worry about is hardware guarreantees etc... -- ***** Richard Forth MCSE, MCSA:Messaging, ACP, Network+, A+ Black Belt (1st Dan): WTF Taekwondo Green Belt (3rd Kyu); BJC Judo Orange Belt (6th Kyu); Shukokai Karate *****
