While your efforts are commendable, it would be much better if you
would simply copy and past the contents directly into the email (which
has been suggested before on the list). The attachment of an
additional document to the email is best served when you want to
include snapshots of visual errors from your desktop. Plus, you will
find that more people are able to help you much faster than having to
use other programs to figure out the problem itself.
Now, to your problem. Double check to see if you have ndiswrapper
installed on your system. To do this, open up a terminal and type in
the following command:
ndiswrapper
If it isn't installed, it will come back with a command that you issue
to install it (via the command line / terminal). Once this is done
and ndiswrapper is installed, what you want to do is create a
directory within your home directory and copy the Windows XP driver
onto it (if there is no Windows XP driver, then use the Widows 2000
driver). Then cd into the directory and install the windows driver
via the ndiswrapper command. The command is something along the lines of:
ndiswrapper -i driver.inf (or it may be driver.sys)
Once the driver is installed, you should be able to configure the
wireless interface.
Again, please just paste the problem(s) directly to the email. I
can/will help you as much as I can but I'm not always in a position
whereby I am able to open attachments to see what the problem is.
