In my opinion Microsoft is simply trying to scare companies who want to switch to linux and/or alternative software (Openoffice - MySQL?).

Agree with Andy, the worst could be that we'll have another SCO.

It is a real allegation by Microsoft.

Whether it's an allegation that holds any weight would be opinion;
my opinion is that they are most likely exagerrating, if it comes
down to it they will wheel out a couple of what they consider to be
their best examples, and then it will go much the same way as SCO.
