It does have a pcmcia slot (I haven't tested it but assume it works).

Also the 5-in-1 card reader doesn't work under X/K/Ubuntu and iirc it
didn't work with Mandriva but Tony managed to get it working (although
not auto-mounting) under Gentoo.
I acquired a cheap usb stick that allows you to input an SD card into
it so that wasn't really a problem for me.

Finally the resolution of 1280 by 800 required the download and
install/configuration of the i915 resolution tool.

BTW the wireless does work using ndiswrapper and the Windows XP driver
but only allows up to 128bit WEP. This was used as Ben decided it was
easier/quicker to get me up and running but again Tony was of the
opinion that the Linux driver could have been coaxed into working with
a little effort, I'm just happy that I have beryl working on it now
and can show off :D

Cool, currently £399 with an extra 999 Clubcard Points (which I think is
worth another tenner?)

If I remember correctly the only thing you have trouble with is the
wireless, which we've never got working?

Does it have a PCMCIA slot or anything similar? I guess not since it
isn't mentioned on Tesco.com, but no harm asking.
