Zen media players are apparently a hot topic. I can bring a Swordfish (pre-production Zen Sleek) to show how it's done. It has a bit of a firmware bug so I'd appreciate it if one or two folks brought a paperclip. Yes, I will need that to reset it as it doesn't always power up the way it should. If you have a Zen, bring it to the meeting, I'll show it being used with gnomad (NJB/MTP) and/or Audacious (MTP only). Could the KDE guys please consider preinstalling Amarok with MTP support. I can get any NJB III player working for you, which is: NOMAD Jukebox (1) NOMAD Jukebox 2 NOMAD Jukebox 3 NOMAD Jukebox Zen NOMAD Jukebox Zen USB 2.0 NOMAD Jukebox Zen NX NOMAD Jukebox Zen Xtra Zen Touch (1.x firmware) Zen Micro (1.x firmware) Zen Sleek (1.x firmware) Zen (1.x firmware) Any device that talks MTP should also work, such as the following Creative Labs units: Portable Media Center Zen Micro (2.x firmware) Zen MicroPhoto Zen Sleek (2.x firmware) <-- The unit I will be bringing in. Zen Sleek Photo Zen Touch (2.x firmware) Zen (2.x firmware) Zen V Zen Vision Zen Vision W Zen Vision:M Zen Stone Regards, Tony V. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.7 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFHSvpAp5vW4rUFj5oRCGHvAKCLhSDWhmYnR8o5LvRJV4YpCg9SEQCgklMq bCm6PxKY7YDZsArh72n3hsk= =//tt -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Peterboro mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/peterboro
