There's no harm getting ahead...
I am assuming that the next meeting will be on Tuesday 29th January, as
I think that Tuesday 25th December may be hard to organise (it rings a
bell for some reason...)
That said I'm more than happy to arrange an interim meeting if there's
interest.
I have just updated the website (which previously said next meeting was
September) - please can we all try to remember to keep on top of that!
There's several people around here that can update the site, just (it
seems) few who remember. I just added the following text to the meetings
page:
Over recent months we've made a terrible job of keeping the website
up to date,
so if it sounds like we're dead because the next meeting was ages
ago please
contact us - especially if you like updating websites!!
.. but I'd prefer that we actually made more use of the site, and if
anyone thinks to mention that the next meeting date is wrong (or any
other corrections) I think they can be dealt with pretty swiftly.
On that note, anyone fancy looking into mailing list to forum bridges
for use with Joomla?
Meeting subjects:
We have another LAN gaming event in February (shameless plug!) which I
refuse to get involved in (from a gaming point of view) until I can do
it with a Linux PC. Until then I'm stuck making coffee and flipping
burgers! So I'd be interested in seeing what can be done with mainstream
Windows games on Linux (a subject where I have very little to offer
myself).
Any other suggestions?
