Winamp rips CD's, supports all ID3 tags, makes playlists etc.... It even
supports radio channels and you can run a mobile version from a USB stick.
It supports Ogg ripping directly as well as many other formats.
Trust me, go look at www.winamp.com
It was the first of its kind and in my opinion - it still remains the
best and most versatile [it even runs on W2K]
Otherwise, feel free to stick with itunes.

Why not use WINAMP? That blows iTunes into history.
Actually I mainly use iTunes only for ripping CDs and converting audio
files (e.g. ogg to mp3, mp3 to mp3 changing bitrate, etc.) so I can listen
to them on my Archos MP3 player. For music management I use MediaMonkey.
