Thanks again for all the tips on installing Ubuntu on the eee. Now all I
need is the Asus itself. I ordered one from Expansys on Saturday and
they quoted one day delivery. By Monday that had gone out to eleven days
and is now showing as ten days, so I don't know if it will show up
before Easter now.
It sounds as if the eeeXubuntu install will be the most straightforward.
It doesn't appear to end up with some of the 'problems' that other
installations have, such as disabled web cam, wireless, etc. If anyone
gets a chance to try it out over the next couple of weeks, maybe they
could post their findings here.
