I can personally vouch for the T61 - although I'm glad that I wasn't the one
paying for it

T61p 2.4Ghz Core2Duo with 4GB RAM and 160GB HDD, Graphics nVidia Quadro
FX570M (1920x1200 :¬O) - with Fedora 8

It has the fingerprint reader on it which was very simple to get running

I run vmware on this with windows XP (under Linux) and the speed is
definitely usable

I'll be cutting over to Xen (for some more hardcore virtualisation) sometime
in the next couple of weeks so will let you all know if it rocks or not
