That is my understanding to date. Update on pilot project - I have installed
Edubuntu on the server and have two laptops network booting (isn't it sweet
when things just fall into place!). I have yet to configure the second network
card to give web access as I have been reading up on how to network boot from
floppy/cd as we have a stack of twenty older machines that do not have network
boot capability. This early in the project I realise that my understanding of
Linux is poor so you have no idea how good it is to have you guys onboard!

I'm thinking it is more like there is one computer - the server -
connected to the internet on one LAN card and then there are lots of
"terminals" running processes on that computer connected via a second
LAN card.
So the traffic on the LAN is I think going to be X-windows sessions or
the like, and only the server will be talking to the interweb.
Or have I got this wrong ?
Phil
