I have tried and tried to make it to your user group... U have no idea... I have installed Ubuntu for the second time and all I can really do is play cards.

Can I ask what you would like to do? Often the hardest thing about trying a new operating system is that people do it out of curiosity but without any real goal in mind, and it's a bit like having a car with nowhere to go. If you don't already have something in mind, what are your hobbies, what do you do for work? Maybe we can help make it useful to you!

I would like to know when the next meeting is so I can show...

We meet on the last Tuesday of the month, which this month makes it the 27th. There's info on the website (http://peterboro.lug.org.uk) which I actually updated today to refer to the next meeting rather than the last one.

If youre not going to have it can someone here be willing to be my sponsor... like AA ... you know... be there for me when I get into trouble....

We'll always try and be there if you get stuck! But its often easiest to start by bringing the problem to a meeting. At least with our meetings, if they're really bad you're allowed to go and have a drink afterwards!

You'll find directions etc on the website, and if you're stuck for transport just ask and maybe someone can help

.. although if you need a lift from the other side of the pond it might not be too easy to arrange...
