The observant amongst you will have noticed [*] that the PLUG website has been down a bit recently and is currently down, probably for a while.
The lug.org.uk run server which hosted it has been the subject of a number of attacks which have lead to the server being taken offline. Until now it was responsible for the mailing lists (eg this one) and other things relating to lug.org.uk too, but the functions are in the process of being separated out. When a new (virtual) server is up and the code migrated to it, peterboro.lug.org.uk will return. It is likely that the server will use tools like suhosin (http://www.hardened-php.net/suhosin/) to limit the likelihood of future PHP-based attacks, so depending on the quality of the underlying Joomla code the site may suffer some additional issues on its return (much better that potential flaws get limited and we have to fix the site than the alternative, I have to say).
