I would suggest something from HP

for two reasons - a tech support mate always says use HP for printers 
(bit like the "nobody got fired for choosing IBM" legend)

I have configured a networked HP colour laser using Ubuntu and TBH I 
can't remember if there was something "built in" or I downloaded the 
HPLIP as above.

I do recall it was fairly easy, either way.

There are some Samsung and Brother lasers proclaiming Linux 
compatibility on the box, from a drift round Staples.
