Any interest in an AMD Duron 1300 tower system (base unit only) with 384M or RAM and a 40G hard disk (93% free space) running Edubuntu 7.10. Sound works and it browses web OK via wired ethernet port, beyond that I haven't tested it. This was an obsolete home PC which had pirate version of Windows so I put Linux on it. Could change distro if required but s it stands it's OK as a starter Linux PC.
Also compact HP laserjet 6L laser printer - parallel port only. At time of writing haven't tried it with the above but it appears to be supported. It does self test and print OK now I've recovered the control button and LEDs from the bottom of the housing ;-) Apparently I am spring cleaning and these need to go out of the house. Can deliver if reqd as I'm 10 miles out of town (PE8 6PS) and will otherwise be going to the recycling / dump.
