I'd suggest typing your expected postcode in here, or looking it up by
hand:
http://www.samknows.com/broadband/mapping/mapping.php

Click on the street, and it will tell you what exchange you will be on,
and how far away you'll be. For viable ADSL2+ broadband, you really
don't want to be more then a kilometre away from an exchange.
If ADSL1 speeds are acceptable, up to two kilometres would work. I
wouldn't go further then that.

If it is where I think it is; you'll have the football crowds to enjoy
on some specific days. They're fairly loud. Other then that there's the
bar crowd from Charters.
It's a decent area, good bus links into town if you care about that
sort of stuff. Not too far from the station either.
