Subject: [Northants] Petition against Mandelson's three strikes
disconnection bill

Hi Guys,

This is a little political, so for those of a horizontal nature - feel
free to stop reading.

>From the open rights group:

This week, plans to disconnect music fans who illegally download music
will be announced by the government, as part of their Digital Economy bill.

This plan won't stop copyright infringement and with a simple accusation
could see you and your family disconnected from the internet - unable to
engage in everyday activities like shopping and socialising.

Whilst I have no time for those who willfully violate copyrights (as an
author of a small amount of software I know I wouldn't want anyone to
violate my copyright), this law is not the solution.

Please will you consider at least signing this petition if you feel the
same:

Thanks,

Martyn
