the link speed to the exchange :- > Bandwidth Down/Up(kbps) 2272 / 288 is the defined sync speed of a BT 2000 service. Strictly speaking it could be home or office, but either way it's a fixed speed 2M service. TalkTalk's LLU service doesn't do fixed speed AFAIK. There's also a history of Talk Talk putting non-LLU customers on fixed speed rather than MaxDSL until recently. Trading Standards were quite interested in this but needed a real victim rather than an agitator like me to pursue it. If speedtester.bt.com works then you have evidence it's a BT service. That won't work on LLU. The SNR margin shows that there's enough SNR to support a much faster service by running at a lower margin :- > SNR Margin Down/Up(dB) 24.5 / 24.0 These margins are too high for a BT MaxDSL rate adaptive service. > Attenuation Down/Up(dB) 26.0 / 12.5 you should get 8128 downstream at that attenuation, I have 50% higher attenuation and get full speed.
