That seems to happen alot do you remember the change from LP to CUPS   or 
/dev/hd..... to UUID=????????????????? who can remember a number that long!!  
but we all did the change and danced to the tune of whoever is playing.

I bet the same will happen to GRUB2.

By the was I loved LILO but now becous we all use GRUB I use GRUB
