No central repository, it just (securely) shares files between all the devices linked to a given share. It's FOSS and well supported. HOWEVER: Like Dropbox it's transparent once set up. Unlike Dropbox there's no file size limit (since you're not using anyone's server). Which means that if someone decided to drop a 5GB ISO into the shared folder then it would be downloaded by everyone (of-course the same is true of Dropbox up to whatever account capacity limit is set). There are ways around this but with caveats - I'd suggest anyone interested looks at the project on github. There are of-course self-hosted options like nextcloud, but they would require someone to pay for hosting. -- Mark Rogers // More Solutions Ltd (Peterborough Office) // 0344 251 1450 Registered in England (0456 0902) 21 Drakes Mews, Milton Keynes, MK8 0ER
