Dear Petri-Netters,
we are proud to announce the brandnew release 1.5.0 of WoPeD ("Workflow Petrinet
Designer"), an easy-to-use, freely available, Java-written tool for editing,
managing, simulating and analyzing workflow Petri nets using the
well-established "van der Aalst" notation.
WoPeD is being developed at the University of Cooperative Education
(Berufsakademie) Karlsruhe, Germany. WoPeD can either be used as a classical
place-transition net editor or as a specialized workflow net editor with many
useful extensions.
WoPeD currently provides the following features:
- Graphical editor (NEW enhanced functions)
- PNML file format for exchanging models with many other tools
- Configurable GUI with numerous "smart-editing" functions
- Animated token game (NEW interface)
- Resource modeling and resource mapping to tasks
- Structural analysis: WF-net property, free-choice, well-structuredness, ...
- Editor visualization of structural properties
- Interface to Woflan for complete soundness check
- Subprocesses for decomposing workflow models (NEW)
- Soundness checks on subprocess level (NEW)
- Token game with "step-in/step-over" functionality (NEW)
- Capacity planning algorithm (NEW)
- Export to various graphics formats (NEW)
