Call for papers of the Special Session on
DESIGN, ANALYSIS AND CONTROL OF HYBRID PETRI NETS
2008 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics

The aim of this session is to provide the Petri net research community with an
opportunity to exchange information and new ideas, and to discuss new
developments in the field of design, analysis, and control of hybrid Petri nets.
The special session is open to all original contributions on hybrid Petri net
methods for the specification, design and implementation as well as operation
of controllers for discrete event systems, e.g.: structural techniques for
controller synthesis, control using observers, deadlock avoidance,
decentralized control, on-line and off line methods for fault prevention and
tolerance, identification, monitors and diagnosis, reconfiguration, etc.
Presentation of applications of such approaches in different domains is
encouraged, including manufacturing and production systems, transport, power
plants, mechatronic systems, embedded systems, communication, etc.
