The Department of Computer Science at Oldenburg University (Germany) has an open position for a research fellow in Theoretical Computer Science (specifically in Concurrency) in the Parallel Systems Group led by Eike Best. We are looking for a young researcher holding a degree (such as an MSc) in Computer Science or in Mathematics who is interested in the semantics and verification of parallel systems, ideally Petri nets or process algebras, and is eager to pursue a PhD. You should also be willing to do some teaching, and you should be fluent in English. Good knowledge of German is not required but readiness to learn German is. The position will be limited to 2 years initially, but it can be extended. The starting date is negotiable, beginning with April 16, 2011.
