The University of Luxembourg seeks to hire an outstanding PhD candidate at its Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT).

The successful candidate will participate in the activities of the Security and Trust of Software Systems research group at the Computer Science and Communications research unit and the Systems Biology group at the Life Science research Your Role The selected candidate will join the research project SEC-PBN (Scalable External Control of Probabilistic Boolean Networks), funded by the University of Luxembourg. SEC-PBN will concentrate on external control of gene regulatory networks, modelled as probabilistic Boolean networks (PBNs). The focus of the PhD position is to design, implement and test computationally efficient external-control methods for PBNs, together with the other SEC-PBN project members. The candidate’s main task will consist in contributing to the research project SEC-PBN and preparing a doctoral dissertation. The candidate will also contribute to teaching and co-supervising master/bachelor students.
