Hello,
I can confirm that PETSc compiles and runs on freebsd 8.0; this is true in
serial and MPI modes.
Since I understand that the next PETSc release will be fairly soon, can
a developer please add the line "shared_freebsd8: shared_freebsd" on
line 840 of path-to-petsc/conf/rules.
This change is completely trivial, unless you are a freebsd 8 user ;-)
