  Since mpicc is just a wrapper this gives me NO useful information about the 
compiler. This has pissed me off for the last time.

    Can you modify the make all rule so that after displaying the compiler like 
above it calls the compiler if it is mpicc/mpicxx/mpifc with -show to see what 
it is really doing.
