It seems to me that for fixed parameters, left and right preconditioning in exact precision would give the same sequence of approximate solutions for both Richardson and Chebychev. If this is the case we should mention this in the manual pages where we state that we only support left preconditioning for them.
Anybody know this for a fact? Barry
