This branch should have been removed upstream.  'git fetch --prune'
should fix that for you.  This change is unimportant and was started
From 'master' without intent to merge to 'maint'.

I think it is okay to merge since I haven't heard any complaints and it
should work fine.  Should perhaps build on BG/Q using it to be sure it
fixes the problem.
