[petsc-dev] redundant DMPlexProjectFunction call in snes ex12?

Is the call to DMPlexProjectFunction in snes ex12 redundant?
DMPlexComputeResidualFEM seems to call this function all by itself, as
does DMPlexComputeJacobianFEM.
