According to the log file, Clang 3.0 is being used, which is now more than two years behind (the release was Dec. 1, 2011). The large litany of warnings about hiding virtual functions is known to be a bug in Clang 3.0 and was reported almost two years ago: http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvmbugs/2011-December/021231.html With that said, I haven't tried compiling Elemental against the most recent versions of Clang and will do so soon.
