Not a single person has approved the MR; so it appears that everyone, including Jed, does not like the idea of having a way of automatically formatting the repository to eliminate much of the white-space chasing that drives Satish nuts. This is frustrating; why would anyone go through the effort of contributing to PETSc based on long-term requests for improvements if everything just hangs ? If you object to the MR, please note it in the MR otherwise, at least a few people, please approve the MR. Barry
