I saw a problem when building a complex (--with-scalar-type=complex) version of PETSc with SuperLU and SuperLU_DIST together. It seems that linking fails due to multiple function definitions by SuperLU and SuperLU_DIST as listed below: z_div z_abs1 z_exp d_cnjg d_imag I believe this would occur in any platforms, and this problem never occurs when building a real number (default) version.
