Yes - both are quads, and yes - the cache sizes are different. But I think the primary feature that contributes to the performance difference is memory bandwidth. The first one is 1333 FSB, the second one is 1600FSB - i.e 20% improvement in memory bandwidth => 20% improvement in performance for the above benchmarks. Satish
