Just to let you know is that I built petsc with c++ anyway since I did configure -with-cc=gcc --download-mpich=1 --download-parmetis=1 --with- #shared=0 --download-f-blas-lapack --with-clanguage=cxx --with-cxx=g++ --with-fc=ifort --with-dynamic=0
