Hi, all I downloaded the PETSc 3.3 p5 version and installed it. Everything seems to be working fine as I followed those instructions and eventually I did the test like:
make PETSC_DIR=/opt/packages/petsc/petsc-3.3-p5 PETSC_ARCH=arch-darwin-c-debug test and I got: Running test examples to verify correct installation Using PETSC_DIR=/opt/packages/petsc/petsc-3.3-p5 and PETSC_ARCH=arch-darwin-c-debug C/C++ example src/snes/examples/tutorials/ex19 run *successfully* with 1 MPI process C/C++ example src/snes/examples/tutorials/ex19 run *successfully* with 2 MPI processes Fortran example src/snes/examples/tutorials/ex5f run *successfully* with 1 MPI process Completed test examples I guess everything so far is good. Question: When I went to petsc-3.3-p5/src/snes/examples/tests, trying to see how those example codes work, I did these and none of them worked. ============================================= ../petsc-3.3-p5/src/snes/examples/tests]> make makefile:12: /conf/variables: No such file or directory makefile:13: /conf/rules: No such file or directory makefile:259: /conf/test: No such file or directory make: *** No rule to make target `/conf/test'.
