No. The reordering should be part of the process when setting up your mesh. 
That is you order the unknowns on the mesh properly and you do not need to 
reorder the matrix. Note that this improves not only the linear solver (a bit) 
but also improves the time of the mesh operations and function and Jacobian 
evaluations on the mesh.
