See mumps user guide, Chapter 7 Error diagnostics (page 38): "The possible error codes returned in INFO(1) (and INFOG(1)) have the following meaning: –1 An error occurred on processor INFO(2)."
So this does not tell anything useful. Suggest building petsc in debugging mode, then you may get more error info.
