As long as you want to do what the Ghost of Steve Jobs thinks will maximize shareholder value, Apple products will work wonderfully. But don't try to do something creative or a ship loaded with dogs, rats, pigs, and cockroaches will run aground and destroy all the wonderful things, leaving you on a screwed-up island in the middle of an ocean. I wouldn't even mind except that the cost of Apple's perverse incentives creating a hostile environment for this enterprising user base is largely borne by the developers of well-behaving portable software that end up supporting those poor saps.
