Hi,

There is a bug in visit 3.x x < 1.2 where fields do not show up unless QA
records are written in the exodus file. The bug comes from the decision of the
visit team to implement an exodus reader using netcdf instead of the official
API, and a bug in their implementation.

Regards,
Blaise

The transient variables don't show up under "vector" data either.

Hi Matt,

I came across
ex26.c<https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgitlab.com%2Fpetsc%2Fpetsc%2F-%2Fblob%2Fmaster%2Fsrc%2Fdm%2Fimpls%2Fplex%2Ftests%2Fex26.c&data=02%7C01%7Cbourdin%40lsu.edu%7C1c550ac6d78843d3c28d08d806f98011%7C2d4dad3f50ae47d983a09ae2b1f466f8%7C0%7C0%7C637267015952963158&sdata=jqM7ZMMooaFwS25VKzU4nwY%2FauvMD6%2FAZRH8eHrXUvU%3D&reserved=0>
in DMPlex that writes out transient variables in an exodus II format. While
VisIt can display the mesh, I can't figure out why the transient variables
aren't showing up for display (see the screenshot). Do you know what is going
wrong here?

Are they in the "vector" data?

  Matt
