[ crash with scrub rule on bridge under 3.1 ]

Yes, 3.1-release/-stable has a bug that can cause panics on bridges
when 'scrub' is used and reassembled packets exceed the MTU of the
interface they are supposed to be sent out through.

You can

  a) apply the patch from http://www.benzedrine.cx/refrag.diff
to your 3.1-stable sources and recompile the kernel

or

  b) disable scrub

Unfortunately, the patch is too large to make it into -stable, but I
promise the patch will fix your problem.
