Hi all, This question comes from the fact that I plan to promote OpenBSD and its use in my country India. I'll plan to start from my city Cochin state of Kerala. One of the major problems I face is that nobody has even heard of OpenBSD and most are used to MS Windows and GUI interface! So initially I'll have to provide atleast some of them with a GUI of somesort till they get accustomed to the system.
I ''ve read some articles on hardening OpenBSD and also received suggestions. They tell me it is not a good Idea to install a GUI or compiler on an OpenBSD machine that acts as a firewall. I would like to know whether having a light desktop like fluxbox will considerably reduce security? And are there people out there who use a GUI on an OpenBSD firewall? If so which GUI desktop will you recommend for most security? Thankyou so much regards Siju
