Hey Phil,
Any resolution to the problems below?

I am experiencing the same problem!!

We're running into problems using datawindows and getting memory errors when
the result set is greater than 100,000 rows. We've run several tests, here
are two:

1) PC - p300, 256MB RAM, 1 GB virtual memory. Get error at 108,800.
2) PC - p400, 64MB RAM, 500 MB Virtual Memory. Error at 108,820.

We did the same test with PB 5, 6, 6.5, and 6.5.1. We ran out of memory at
(approximate values):

pb5 - 500,000 rows.
pb6 - 250,000 rows.
pb6.5 - 150,000 rows.
pb6.5.1- 108,000 rows.

With PB.6.0 and higher, datawindows crash with 'Out of Memory' errors after
retrieving (or importing) as few as 145,000 rows. The amount of virtual
memory used at this point is fairly consistent with the levels for PB.5.0.02
after the same # of rows, with plenty of virtual memory still available!

The attached ZIP file contains a PBL with a single 'external' datawindow
object and a compatible tab-delimited dataset which can be imported into the
datawindow. I limited the dataset size to 50,000 rows, but it's easy enough
to produce the errors by importing the file multiple times. Under releases
PB.6.5 and PB.6.5.1, expect to get an 'Out of Memory' error during the 3rd
import (between 100,000 and 150,000 rows) !

I had a little more luck with PB6.0, but eventually it died (around 430,000
rows) with plenty of Virtual Memory still available!
