Hi Rajkumar / Surya,

You ( Rajkumar ) are right in saying that because at work  I use PB 6.5 enterprise and when I installed that
the Web.PB icon was present by default.  Also, I notice to set up the Web.PB I need the
O'Reilly web server which is not there in the PB6.0 desktop, but was present in PB6.5 enterprise
installation.  Though if I go through the compact installation, I do see the internet options but
( they were checked ) after installation, if I check the the directory "c:\Program Files\Powersoft\Pb6\IT",
is empty, it is supposed to contain all the internet files including the tutorial.  Powerbuilder 6.0 documentation
doest not insist that Professional / Enterprise versions is required to do Web / Distributed development.
I do agree that it should not be possible to develop Distributed Application with DeskTop edition.

I will contact Sybase support to find more about this.

Appreciate your inputs.

By the way if you are all looking for good reference on these subjects, I found some:
  • Internet & Intranet Applications with PB 6    -    Tom Cervenka
  • Distributed Applications development with PB 6    -    Michael Barlotta
                         -  both by Manning Publication
