I have a feeling what I want to do is impossible, but I thought I'd ask it anyway... :) Does anyone know if it is possible to somehow change a normal datawindow (external datawindow) column from a standard edit to a dddw dynamically? There are a few fields in the application that are "customizable" in that there is no defined value or data for them. The user can use them as they wish. The idea would be that a user could specify that they wanted one of those fields to be a dropdown, and they could specify values for it. Then, when the window containing that field opens, the field would 'magically' appear as a dropdown instead of an ordinary field. I'm pretty sure I can't use Modify or something similar to change the edit type to dddw, so I'm trying to figure out a way to "fake" it. i.e., put a list that looks like a dropdown list right below the appropriate field and populate it with the appropriate choices, etc. Anybody ever heard of doing something like this?
