I had this problem a while ago and found it a most annoying one. I never
had time to come up with a good solution and read your mail with interest,
pity no one here seemed able to solve it either.
After a couple of frustrating days I called Powersoft tech syupport and they
said 'The summary band does not auto resize, change your datawindow so that
the resizing stuff goes into the detail band' No help to me as I had a
nested dw in the summary band but it may be of help to you.
One of the solutions I toyed with before being told to stop were, performing
a simultanous datastore retirieve to get the number of rows in the nested dw
and then setting the band height. This may work for simple cases but for a
grouped dw it doesn't work as you only get one handle to the summary band
when there are multiple summary bands.
I read the news group the other bloke suggested but no one there could solve
it either. Sorry I can't help
